FACIT-Sp

Description
The Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy - Spiritual Well-being (FACIT-Sp) was developed in the United States to assess assesses cancer patients’ HrQoL and spiritual well-being. The 12-item measure does not make reference to specific religious practices or to the name of a deity, is added to the FACT-G to make up what is known as the FACIT-Sp.

The Patient Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS®) comprises highly reliable, precise measures of patient–reported physical, mental, and social health. The physical function item bank contains 124 items (ie, questions) designed to measure an individual's ability to perform physical tasks ranging from low-level skills (eg, activities of daily living) to more difficult skills requiring mobility, strength, and endurance.

Description
A quantitative measurement of the components of illness representations, as described by Leventhal’s Common-Sense Model (CSM) of selfregulation (Leventhal et al 1984, 1997). It is divided into three sections: identity subscale (14 symptoms), causal subscale (18 causes), and a third section which contains 7 subscales, including consequences, timeline acute/chronic and cyclical, personal and treatment control/cure, illness coherence, and emotional representations.

Description
The SRI scale is a multidimensional instrument comprised of 49 items, and seven subscales including: Respiratory Complaints (SRI-RC), Physical Functioning (SRI-PF), Attendant Symptoms and Sleep (SRI-AS), Social Relationships (SRI-SR), Psychologic Well-being (SRI-WB), Anxiety (SRI-AX) and Social Functioning (SRI-SF). The SRI questionnaire assesses the patients’ quality of life during the preceding one week based on his/her level of agreement rated using a five Likert-scale from “strongly agree” to “strongly disagree”. Typically, subscale scores are generated or a total scale score is generated (SRI-SS) yielding a score ranging between 0 and 100, with higher scores indicating a better quality of life.
