The OFER is a 15-item scale with three subscales: The chronic fatigue subscale items are designed to capture mental, physical, and emotional components that are characteristics of persistent fatigue. The acute fatigue subscale captures inability or unwillingness to engage in activities outside the workplace as a direct consequence of previous activity.
