The Parent Attitudes about Childhood Vaccines (PACV) has a predictive ability to help identify VHPs and subsequently provide room for intervention. The questionnaire has 15 items within three subdomains “Safety and efficacy”; “General attitudes”; and “Behavior” with Cronbach alpha of 0.74, 0.84 and 0.74, respectively.15 A scoring validation study had shown that there was a statistically significant linear association between a parent’s total score on the 15-item PACV and their child’s immunization status

Description
The Personal Wellbeing Index-Adult (PWI-A) is a seven-item, self-administered scale that measures satisfaction with the following life domains: standard of living, health, life achievement, personal relationships, personal safety, community connectedness, and future security. Each item is rated on a 0-to-10 scale (0 = No satisfaction at all; 10 = Very satisfied). Items can be scored individually to derive a score for the corresponding domain, or all the scores for all items can be summed and averaged to form the Personal Wellbeing Index (PWI).

Description
An international team of physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, epidemiologists and psychologists has developed an observational pain assessment scale for people with cognitive impairments, especially dementia: The Pain Assessment in Impaired Cognition (PAIC 15) scale. This initiative was funded by the EU COST program (COST Action TD 1005). The PAIC 15 scale contains a total of 15 behavioral descriptors, with 5 behavioral descriptors for each behavioral category of facial expressions, body movements and vocalizations. The facial expression category includes items such as “frowning” and “narrowing the eyes”. Examples for pain-indicative body movements are “restlessness” and “guarding”. “Groaning” and “shouting” are examples from the vocalization category. For each of these behavioral descriptors a brief explanation is given to better illustrate the exact meaning of each descriptor.
