Description
The Knee Outcome Survey is a patient self report survey that includes an Activities of Daily Living Scale (ADLS) and a Sports Activity Scale (SAS). The ADLS is a 14 item scale that queries patients about how their knee symptoms effect their ability to perform general daily activities (6 items) as well as how their knee condition effects their ability to perform specific functional tasks (8 items).

Description
The Knowledge Validation Inventory (Leahy, Szymanski, & Linkowski, 1993) was developed by a team of researchers in conjunction with the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification to measure the training needs of rehabilitation professionals. Each of the 92 items asks respondents to rate a specific knowledge area (e.g., “diversity and multicultural issues”) on two dimensions: importance to the rehabilitation counseling field and degree of preparedness to work in that area.

Description
Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices are measured using a specific instrument called a Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) questionnaire. Using KAP-modelled instruments, investigators can identify misconceptions in the population concerning a certain topic such as tranquilizer use, determine medically inappropriate attitudes and recognize medically inappropriate practices. KAP questionnaires are therefore the cornerstone to assess the need for prevention programs aimed at improving certain health-related issues including the rational use of tranquilizers and to design and evaluate these programs.

Instrument assesses one of the psychosocial stressor of social isolation; marginality, the distance from the centre of decision making, . The concept of marginality describes the social margins that bring about social isolation as well as the psychological isolation of individuals. It consisted of five items; each scored on a five-point Likert scale and calculated as the sum of the items, except with one reverse scored (Item 4). The overall score range is from 5 to 25.
