Description
A self-administered eight-item questionnaire that was developed as a tool to measure subjective sleepiness in adults. The ESS asks the respondent to rate on a 4-point scale (0-3) their usual chances of having dozed off or fallen asleep while engaged in eight different activities that differ widely in their somnificity. The ESS specifically distinguishes reports of dozing behaviour (and estimates of SSPs) from feelings of fatigue and drowsiness/sleepiness, in the sense of ‘weariness from exertion’.

Description
Scale to measure insomnia. Participants are requested to respond to each item on a 5 point scale as follows: 0: No, 1: A little, 2: Moderate, 3: Much, and 4: Very much. They were instructed to answer the ASI items according to their subjective evaluation, on the basis of their perceived severity during the past month. The total score can range from O to 48, and a high score denotes high insomnia.

Description
The Sleep Scale was developed for the Medical Outcomes Study (MOS), a two-year study of patients with chronic conditions. Copyright by RAND Healthcare. The sleep scale examines six factors: sleep initiation, maintenance, respiratory problems, quantity, perceived adequacy, and somnolence.
